365 days project "365 days of cool and strange and often obscure audio selections." essentially: an awesome collection of rarities and just plain weird audio treats from the past -- from wacky old kids recordings to simply bizarre musical experiments. with one new discovery showcased every day, it's like a magical, underground advent calendar for your ears. u.v. protection fashionable electro-clash-esque band in boston. their live shows combine costumes, video projections, and a dancer. catch them when you can.

rasputina the famous ladies' cello society. i interviewed melora for an article, and she could not have been more gracious and engaging. one of my favorite bands.

cul de sac boston's revered post-rock psychedelic instrumental band. i interviewed them for another article, and they, too, were fantastic. they've done traditional releases, as well as collaborated with john fahey and damo suzuki, and also scored the soundtrack for a roger corman film. extremely talented musicians who deliver a compelling performance.

liz carlisle montana-born and harvard-based, liz is an amazing folk singer-songwriter dynamo. she's already released 3 CDs and toured countless states and several countries. she's also a great person and friend.
